So busy. What with it being the end of the quarter, the end of the year, presents to be bought (I'm not gonna lie, I've got nothing) and family members you didn't know existed calling cuz for some reason they remember you exist around the holidays.

Somehow I'd like to find time to make these: Peanut butter Cups
But, if I don't get to it (and its unlikely what with my schedule and my history of setting off fire alarms...) maybe you could find the time? Put them in a nice tin with a bow on top, and you've got yourself a delicious present. : )

I always come back to art

Tracing shadows is an article in the New York times about this guy (Ellis Gallagher) and Brooklyn art student who has been going around town, your guessed it, tracing shadows. I'm all for incorporating art in our daily lives, and making it so accessible to the public. And this seems really cool, I'm sure that when the shadows move its kinda a reality test. Or a glance into the past. You can see now what was then.
And who doesn't like drawing with chalk???

Inspired to research

Please read this article from Boing Boing, about this guy (Charles Platt) and his experience visiting a pen pal in prison. Its opened my eyes to how little I know about the U.S. penitentiary system and how much it infuriates me. I believe that everything can be better, that we can make everthing better, and if there is one thing that has plenty of room for improvement it is our judiciary system.
If there is one thing that I think everyone can agree on, its that you don't fuck with another persons life. Yet its happening. Need more incentive to read this article? Platt has stats that say that 1 out of every 100 Americans is imprisoned.
The first step to correction, is understanding.
